Hello!  My name is Mel Brown.  

I am 50 years old and live with my husband of nearly 27 years, our two children and Jasper, our cocker spaniel.  I love all things crafty but especially card making, scrapbooking and sewing.  I teach card making and papercrafts with in-person workshops and online crafting. I also enjoy baking, holidays, films, walking, taking Jasper to agility and dog trainingand I am teaching myself to crochet.  I was a Buyer for almost twenty years before retraining as a Learning Support Worker.  Nowadays I am a Stay at Home Mum and a Stampin Up! demonstrator.

I became a Stampin Up! demonstrator nine years ago when I took over running a scrapbook workshop.  At that time I wasn't into stamps and ink at all!  As a scrapbooker I needed a source for good quality acid free paper, card stock and adhesives for my own personal use and for attendees of my workshop.  Eventually I tried card making using stamp sets and ink and have been hooked ever since. I love the fact products coordinate, I don't have to search for the right shades of ribbon to go with my cardstock because it all matches or I can colour a white ribbon to match. 

As well as holding a monthly scrapbook workshop, I run card classes and love teaching new techniques.  Sharing my love of crafting with others while enjoying a chat and refreshments is so rewarding and I look forward to every opportunity I have to do this.
